Len Krick, MBA, the Owner of Sunbelt Business Advisors first came to Las Vegas in 1978. Mr. Krick is the only person in Nevada to hold the prestigious Merger & Acquisition Intermediary ("M&AMI") designation. Since 2000, he has overseen the successful ownership transfer of hundreds of privately-held businesses to private equity groups, strategic buyers, and wealthy individuals. Mr. Krick is an active Member of M&A Source and MainSource. He has over twenty-five years experience with both privately held and publicly traded companies, which includes: consulting, negotiating, turnarounds, bond and initial public offerings, operations, development, and merger & acquisitions.
Mr. Krick frequently serves as conference chairman, course instructor and developer, and moderator for the International Business Brokers Association. In 2008, Mr. Krick co-founded the Nevada Business Brokers Association, and currently serves as Vice-Chairman of that organization. At the request of the Nevada Real Estate Commission, Mr. Krick co-authored the Nevada Business Broker Examination currently in use by the State of Nevada.
In the 1970's and 1980's, he held executive positions with Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, and Dunes Hotel and Country Club. He also worked for Laventhal & Howarth, CPAs, and was an instructor at UNLV from 1984 through 1986, Len cofounded Europa Cruises Corporation, he took that company public in 1989 (formerly NASDAQ "KRUZ"), and served as its President. In 1992, he cofounded and was Sr. VP-Development for Casino Magic Corporation (formerly NASDAQ "CMAG"). He took that company public and conducted road shows for both the $150 million bond offering and the company's very successful IPO in October 1992. Mr. Krick received his MBA from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, BA in Economics from Muhlenberg College, and BS in Hotel Administration from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Alan Horwitz is a very experienced and effective merger and acquisition professional, and has sold an extremely high percentage of his listings. From 2004 through 2009, Mr. Horwitz was one of the top ten producing brokers among more than 1,400 brokers in the Sunbelt Network. He also completed several of the network's largest transactions.
During a long and distinguished business career he has owned and operated various successful businesses including national franchise restaurants, an advertising company, an Internet distributor and a retail software store. In addition, he acted as an outside consultant for the Small Business Administration. Over the last 30 years Mr. Horwitz has been an outside consultant in the area of business valuations and in preparing businesses for a future sale. With over 30 years of a business and business sales background, Mr. Horwitz brings experience and integrity to business brokerage. Mr. Horwitz earned a BS degree in Business Entrepreneurship from Indiana University. Alan has a Nevada Real Estate Broker-Salesman license and a Nevada Business Broker Permit.

Bruce Hooker has closed numerous middle market transactions, including a recent $7,000,000 sale to a private equity group. During 2007 and 2008, Mr. Hooker was one of the top twenty producing brokers among more than 1,400 brokers in the Sunbelt Network. The strength of Mr. Hooker's financial background gives him the ability to help business owners structure their transactions to maximize the after-tax proceeds.
Mr. Hooker has held several senior level executive positions with small and mid-sized companies, in the manufacturing and distribution industries. In this capacity he has helped negotiate numerous mergers and acquisitions, including some involving NYSE listed companies. He received a B.S. from UCLA with a double major in finance and accounting. Matt Waymire, CPA, is an accomplished merger & acquisition professional. The strength of Mr. Waymire's financial background gives him the ability to assist business owners in structuring their transactions to maximize the after-tax proceeds from the sale. During 2008, Mr. Waymire was one of the top twenty producing brokers among more than 1,400 brokers in the Sunbelt Network. His industry expertise includes but is not limited to general contracting, casino showroom entertainment, wireless cable operations, aviation repair, advertising, manufacturing, waste management, stock brokerage, mortgage banking, real estate development and property management, and retail.
Mr. Waymire served in both Audit and Emerging Business Services sections of the Las Vegas based office of Deloitte and Touche. Subsequently, Mr. Waymire was engaged in CFO, Controller, and COO positions for several successful turnaround management operations. While managing his own CPA practice for 14 years, he participated in both seller and buyer due diligence efforts for clients. Mr. Waymire also has owned a successful accounting software company and a Mexican restaurant. He understands the challenges facing small business owners from both sides of the ledger. Mr. Waymire is currently Executive Vice President of the CEO/CFO Group of Southern Nevada. He earned his BA in Accounting from UNLV, and has has lived in Las Vegas for over 27 years. Paul Schwager is a senior financial analyst, management consultant and merger & acquisition professional. He has over 20 years experience working with firms ranging from privately-held mid-market manufacturers to many of the Fortune 500. He is also one of the few accredited Certified Business Intermediaries (“CBI”) in Nevada. Paul prefers to establish and build long-term relationships with owners through which he can help achieve their business and personal goals. In addition to transactional services, Paul offers several consulting services that help owners build the health and wealth of their business. Paul is also proficient in commercial and investment real estate, making him an excellent choice for clients relocating to the area or whose needs encompass both business and real estate. He firmly believes clients should expect knowledgeable, ethical, professional service. Mr. Schwager's education includes a degree in Commerce with a major in Entrepreneurship from the University of Victoria, and a Diploma of Technologies in Computing. Mr. Schwager has the requisite Nevada Real Estate Broker / Salesman License and a Nevada Business Broker Permit.
Jason Horwitz holds a "Certified Senior Business Analyst" designation from the Society of Business Analysts. Mr. Horwitz has assisted in business with a total value of over $24,000,000. He earned a B.A. in Communications, with an emphasis in Marketing from University of Nevada, Reno. Mr. Horwitz has a Nevada Real Estate Salesman license and a Nevada Business Broker Permit. He has studied abroad and is fluent in Spanish.
Celia Ortiz serves as Administrative Assistant to Mr. Krick. She also is responsible for implementation of the firms marketing programs, industry research, client support and follow up, tracking Due Diligence materials, packaging of transactions, and overall coordination of the transaction process.
Jon Sisler is the firm's Senior M&E Appraiser. Mr. Sisler received his training and certification (Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser) from the NEBB Institute in 2003. Since 2003, Jon has performed over 200 USPAP compliant appraisals for all types of non-real estate assignments. His clients include Bank of America, Bank of Nevada, many insurance companies, and numerous governmental agencies.
In addition to his appraiser certification, Mr. Sisler has also earned the following designation: Senior Business Analyst by the Society of Business Analysts, Certified Debt Arbitrator, Licensed Mortgage Banker (specializing in business financing and equipment leasing), and Licensed Insurance Producer in NV, UT, OH, and MI.
